Keng-Yu Chang, M.S.

Keng-Yu was born and grew up in Taiwan. She earned her B.A. in Chinese from the National Taiwan Normal University and her Master of Sports Management from the National Taiwan University. During the master program, Keng-Yu worked in animal research and investigated the effect of resistance exercise training and dietary supplementation on osteoporosis in mice undergoing chemotherapy. She held and presented public lectures of chronic disease prevention and health promotion in communities. Keng-Yu joined the Cardiovascular Laboratory of Health in Fall 2022 as a Ph.D. student. Her research interests focus on the role of aerobic fitness on cardiovascular function in young adult binge drinkers. She is also a teaching assistant for the KINE 1100 Lab: Lab Skills in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.

Savannah Cox

Savanna Cox, B.S.

Savanna was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Wimberley, Texas on an alpaca farm. She got her bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Texas State University in May 2022. Afterwards, Savanna joined the University of Texas at Arlington as a Research Coordinator working with Dr. Laura Hwang and Dr. Robert Brothers. Her interests outside of work include health and fitness activities such as weightlifting, volleyball, and racquetball.

Jessica J. Thompson, BSW

Jessica is originally from Kansas but has spent most of her adult life in the Dallas area.  She graduated with her Bachelor’s of Social Work with a minor in Substance Use Treatment at UTA in 2022.  She is currently a Master’s student of Social Work with a concentration on children and families.  She hopes to work with children and families who have been impacted by substance abuse.  Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, hiking, cross stitching, reading, and binging various streaming services.

Tabitha Haun

Tabi is working on her undergraduate degree in kinesiology at UTA. She loves research and wants to continue to study exercise, addictions, and the body after she completes her undergraduate degree. In her free time, she loves to rollerblade at the local skateparks and volunteers at one with a program to get food out to families in need.
